Dr Neophytos Stylianou

Dr Neophytos Stylianou is currently a Research Associate within the Centre for Healthcare Innovation and Improvement (CHI2). Neophytos has a PhD from the University of Manchester on Health Service Research/ Epidemiology/Public Health. His PhD was looking at ways of informing the improvement of the specialised burn injury health service utilising data. Neophytos holds an MPH from Imperial College London and a BSc in Biomedical Science from the University of Essex. He has worked as a biomedical scientist in an NHS laboratory at Basildon and Thurrock hospital. He also held the position of Research Assistant at the Cyprus University of Technology, where he investigated the burden of family carers of dementia patients. He has worked as a Public Health Intelligence Analyst with Public Health England. For the past year he was a Researcher-in-Residence, a collaboration between University of Bath and the Royal United Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust in Bath. His main research interest lies in using data for the improvement of health services, focusing on clinical epidemiology, prediction modelling and health policy evaluation.
