ESMO, European Society for Medical Oncology conference presentation by Professor George Samoutis CEO Apostolos Loukas Medical Centre / eHipp/ International Institute for Compassionate Care.
On the 27th of September 2019 Prof George Samoutis was an invited speaker and presented an exciting speech with the title: Educating Oncologists and Health Professionals on Compassionate Care: Care with dignity.
The invited talk included the new definition of compassionate care, the 3S model that has been developed by Prof Samoutis , the science behind Compassionate Care and the experience gained from training physicians, allied healthcare professionals, medical students and teenagers!
The talk was very well received and discussions are taking now place to expand the training schemes led by Prof Samoutis on compassionate care in other countries.
